Welcome to Mrs. Martinez's Webpage
My name is Rosa Martinez, and this is my first year teaching at Stanton Elementary. This is my 14th year as a teacher in EPISD. I am a graduate of Austin High School and The University of Texas at El Paso. My background is in science, and I have a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. In the past, I have worked for El Paso Natural Gas and for The Boeing Company in Seattle, Washington. My dream as a child was to become a teacher, and after working at UTEP for 5 years under a National Science Foundation Grant, I earned my teacher certification.
Our Science Lab has a Snoopy Theme, and it is very obvious that I am a fan of The Peanuts Gang. I have a wonderful husband and two very curious and amazing children who keep me on my toes. Away from school, I am a tee ball coach, baseball mom and dance mom. Working with children is what I love to do.
Science has always been one of my favorite subjects, and I am very happy to be a Science Leader on the campus. I have had a great time learning all about this wonderful school and teaching your children in the science lab.
There are some great resources available to the students at our campus. For K-3, please access our Library Media pages for Pebble Go . PowerKnowledge is an online resource also accessible through our Library Media page for children in the upper grades. Please visit these sites to read and learn about various science topics.
Fun Fact: My uncle taught Science at Stanton Elementary for over 20 years!
